Music to the People!

Riverview Jazz is a Jersey City-based non-profit organization that produces year-round world-class shows for the community, including the Jersey City Jazz Festival and the Jersey City Latin Jazz Festival.

“Our goal is simple - We believe in throwing a damn good party for the people, but a party with some of the best musicians you’ll ever hear. That’s how we can engage our communities with the wonderfully diverse world of “jazz” for generations to come.”
- Bryan Beninghove, Director, Riverview Jazz

New Video: Highlights from the 11th Annual Jersey City Jazz Festival

  • “Riverview Jazz has demonstrated that they can throw a fantastic party while remaining committed to musical sophistication”

    Jersey City Times

  • "This festival is not only important because of the huge support of Latin Jazz but also it helps expose this artform that isn't always represented at Jazz Festivals to new listeners and fans. I loved the friendly environment that welcomed my family to the festival which allowed me to perform and do what I love while spending time with them. One of my favorite festivals to play and attend!! "

    Luques Curtis, internationally renowned bassist

  • "I've been to every one of the annual Jersey City Jazz festivals and every year impresses me even more. This has become the hippest event in the city with great local players and the most diverse audience you'll find."

    David Cruz, NJTV

  • "For the past several years I’ve volunteered at Jersey City Jazz Festivals and other events put on by the Riverview Jazz Organization. I can say unequivocally that it is always a great experience: You get to be part of something that embodies the spirit of cooperation while bringing some of the best jazz around to Jersey City – all free to the public. Even better, you get to share that experience with other volunteers who are truly committed to making every event run smoothly and successfully while having fun at the same time."

    Mary Beth, volunteer

  • "Bryan Beninghove is a true advocate for our music. His hard work to make the Jersey City Jazz Festival is nothing short of heroic. The SmallsLIVE Foundation is proud to work with Riverview Jazz to continue to present excellent jazz music to the public of Jersey City"

Spike Wilner, jazz musician and owner of Smalls Jazz Club, NYC
